VIRGINIA TECH (2-2, 1-0 ACC) at NO. 23 NORTH CAROLINA STATE (4-0, 1-0)
WHEN: 3:30 p.m.
WHERE: Carter-Finley Stadium; Raleigh, N.C.
VIDEO/RADIO: ABC; XM 190, Sirius 212, 790AM, 910AM, 93.5FM
THE BUZZ: N.C. State is ranked this week for the first time in more than seven years. Quarterback Russell Wilson leads the ACC with an average of 299 total yards per game, but he's far from a one-man show. Freshman running back Mustafa Greene has gained 242 yards. N.C. State's defense is paced by linebacker Nate Irving (26 tackles this season), one of the best comeback stories (recovered from near-fatal car crash) in the ACC outside of Boston College's Mark Herzlich. Tech, which defeated N.C. State 38-10 last season in Blacksburg, must remain motivated by the chance to win an ACC championship. The Hokies will be without running back Ryan Williams (hamstring), who will miss his second straight game. Pressuring Wilson and forcing him to make a rare bad throw or two will be key.
THE PICK: Va. Tech 33-27.
