Shae Kelley contributed 24 points and 13 rebounds, her fourth consecutive double-double, as Old Dominion (5-4) gained its third consecutive victory with an 82-57 win Saturday night against Maryland Eastern Shore (3-5) at the Constant Center.

Chelisa Painter scored a career-high 14 points and had eight rebounds for ODU. Tiffany Minor had 12 points and seven rebounds, and Galaisha Goodhope added 10 points and five assists.

Shawnee Sweeney poured in 18 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Hawks.

Va. Tech 72, Michigan State 62

Four Hokies scored at least 14 points as Virginia Tech beat No. 25 Michigan State at Cassell Coliseum.

Uju Ugoka had 19 points and 10 rebounds for Tech (7-2), while MSU (5-4) lost its third game in a row. The Spartans scored 12 consecutive points to tie the score at 55, but the Hokies’ 10-1 run proved decisive.

The Spartans (8-0, 3-0 CAC), led by Brittany Hicks’ 21 points and 10 rebounds, could enter the Division III top 25, while the No. 14 ranking of the Captains is in peril.
