Tommy Rees had a career-best five touchdown passes and threw for 284 yards as the Irish romped in Colorado.

TJ Jones had seven receptions for 104 yards and caught a touchdown pass for the fifth straight game for Notre Dame (6-2). The Irish defeated Air Force on the road for the seventh consecutive time.

Colton Huntsman scored on a 10-yard run for the Falcons (1-7), who have lost seven straight games since a victory over Colgate.

Edward Waters (1-7) of Jacksonville, Fla., intercepted Jonathan Whelan four times and beat the host Apprentice School.

Apprentice senior Brock Bullock made 19 tackles, tying the single-season record of 109 Steve Sobczak set in 1991. With two games left, Bullock is 22 tackles from the career-record of 295 that Sobczak established.

Edward Waters freshman Taron Williams threw for 134 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a team-high 93 yards. Diondre Wynn ran for a 65-yard touchdown with 7:15 left for a 35-21 lead.

Bruton High graduate Lorenzo Taliaferro rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown as sixth-ranked Coastal Carolina (8-0, 3-0 Big South) rolled past VMI 66-27 in Conway, S.C.

Michael Church threw three touchdown passes for Coastal to supplement Taliaferro, who ranked fourth in FCS in rushing yards per game (140.9) entering the contest. The Chanticleers have won 13 consecutive regular-season games.
