NORFOLK, Va. – Paul Szczechura had two goals and Justin Keller had a goal and an assist. However, Keller's second cousin Ryan Keller also netted a goal and an assist – including the game-winning third period tally – as his Binghamton Senators (6-6-2-0) snapped the Norfolk Admirals' (7-7-0-0) winning streak at four games with a 5-3 decision on Tuesday night at Norfolk Scope Arena.

Former Admiral Martin St. Pierre put the Senators up 1-0 just 1:19 into the game with a power play goal. Ryan Keller sent a shot from the left point that Norfolk netminder Dustin Tokarski stopped. However, Senators captain Denis Hamel found the rebound and swept it across the crease where St. Pierre tapped it into the net.

The Admirals tied the game at 1-1 later in the opening frame. Mitch Fritz won a board battle for the puck near the Senators bench and passed it up to Justin Keller entering the attacking zone. Keller sent a shot from the left faceoff dot that deflected first off the stick of a Senators defender and then off the right shoulder of Binghamton backstop Andy Chiodo before denting the twine at 14:43.

Norfolk's Keller then played a part in the home team taking a 2-1 lead early in the second period. Chiodo came out of the crease to play an errant pass that had gone the length of the ice while Binghamton was on the power play. As Keller applied forechecking pressure, Chiodo applied pressure to his stick in order to quickly pass the puck to one of his teammates. However, Chiodo's stick snapped in half and Keller took the puck and centered it to Paul Szczechura. Szczechura sent a quick shot that sailed over the glove-side shoulder of Chiodo for Norfolk's first shorthanded goal of the 2009-10 season.

The Senators leveled the game at 2-2 just over three minutes later. Josh Hennessy passed the puck from behind the net to Derek Smith in the left circle for a one-timer that Tokarski stopped. However, the rebound fell at the feet of Kaspars Daugavins, whose shot trickled under the glove of Tokarski and into the net at 4:46.

The Senators took a 3-2 lead on the power play at 7:42 of the final frame. Craig Schira sent a shot from the high slot through a maze of bodies that Zack Smith deflected past Tokarski and into the net.

However, Norfolk answered back less than six minutes later with Szczechura's second goal of the contest. Dana Tyrell sent a pass from the slot that Vladimir Mihalik one-timed from the right circle. The shot bounced off Chiodo and back into the slot. Szczechura one-timed the rebound into the net to knot the score at three goals apiece at 13:25.

The Senators took the lead for good at 16:18. Ryan Keller entered the attacking zone along the right wing and sent a heavy wrist shot from the right circle that eluded the glove of Tokarski as it sped past him into the net.

Zack Smith tacked on an empty-net goal at 19:47 to seal the victory for the visitors.

Dustin Tokarski (32 shots, 28 saves) took the loss. Andy Chiodo (30 shots, 27 saves) earned the win.

Norfolk was 1-5 on the power play. Binghamton was 2-4.
