Blackhawks uniforms voted best in NHL history

The Blackhawks are the best-dressed team of all-time, according to a poll conducted by NHL.com.

The team’s uniform — the one from 1959-present — came out on top after more than 6 million votes were cast in a poll conducted by the league’s website from Nov. 28-Dec. 31.

The choices included uniforms from all eras and the contest was conducted in a head-to-head format.

Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville’s former team, the Hartford Whalers (1979-92) finished second, while Anaheim Mighty Ducks uniforms from 1993-2006 came in third.

The site did not release final vote totals, but the Blackhawks made two appearances on the list. The “Black Hawks” uniforms from 1956-59 finished 21st in voting.

The Winnipeg Jets led all teams in the top 25 with three appearances.
