John Carroll graduate is a spectacular finisher. Ancarrow was named last season's Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year and this year's preseason Player of the Year. In the 2012 regular season, she led the CAA in average goals (2.52), was third in average points (3.31) and fourth in draw controls (2.69). On April 13, she tore an anterior cruciate ligament -- her second ACL tear -- and missed the postseason. Comment: After scoring the biggest upset of the young season over Syracuse, the Terps dive into Atlantic Coast Conference competition with one of their toughest rivals. The defending conference champion Terps lead the series 14-9 after splitting with Duke last season, falling 10-9 in February but easily avenging that, 12-3, in the ACC tournament. The Blue Devils have won their first four games by an average of 11.5 goals, including 17-9 over ACC rival Virginia Tech, but Maryland is their first ranked opponent.
