Lacrosse roundup (May 1): Gough's OT goal sends Lehigh women to Patriot semifinals

Kellie Gough (South River) scored the game-winner, her fourth goal, with 13 seconds left in overtime to lift host Lehigh to a 16-15 victory over Holy Cross in a Patriot League women's lacrosse quarterfinal Tuesday.

The host Mountain Hawks (13-5) advance to Friday's semifinal against No. 10 Navy at 7 p.m.

Boston University 14, Colgate 9: Freshman Ava Barry scored three of her game-high four goals in the second half to lift the visiting Terriers (10-7) over the Raiders (10-7) in a Patriot League quarterfinal.

The Terriers face No. 8 Loyola Maryland in Friday's semifinal at 4 p.m.

State men

Salisbury 14, Christopher Newport 3: Josh Melton had four goals and two assists to lead the host Sea Gulls (15-3) past the Captains (14-4) in a Capital Athletic Conference semifinal.

Salisbury faces host York, a 16-8 winner over Frostburg State , in Saturday's championship game at 6 p.m.

Nation men

No. 10 Virginia 17, Virginia Military Institute 8: Mike D'Amario had four goals to carry the host Cavaliers (12-5) past the Cadets (2-11).

Virginia led 12-2 at the half.
