Recruiting notes: Hereford G Turnbaugh orally commits to Hopkins

Chell of Boys' Latin to Ohio State; Calvert Hall midfielder Diehl to Quinnipiac

Rising junior goalie Brock Turnbaugh (Hereford) has orally committed to Johns Hopkins. The 5-foot-10, 200-pound keeper helped lead Hereford to its fifth straight Class 3A-2A title, saving 75 percent of shots, allowing three goals per game and earning All-County honors. A member of the Baltimore Crabs, he was also All-County in football and wrestling. Turnbaugh also considered Towson, Penn State and Navy. 

A teammate of Turnbaugh’s on the Baltimore Crabs, rising junior attackman Colin Chell (Boys' Latin), has orally committed to Ohio State. Chell also attended Brine Shootout and Nike Blue Chip camps. As a sophomore, Chell racked up 18 goals and an assist. He also considered North Carolina and Notre Dame.
