High school: Norfolk Christian. Height/Weight: 6-1/239.

College situation: Committed to U.Va.

Why he made the Fab 15: Despite playing for a small private school, his talent hasn't eluded the eyes of college recruiters, or the folks that hand out one of the most prestigious awards for high school linebackers. He's one of 51 players named to the preseason watch list for the high school version of the Butkus Award. Moore had 132 tackles last season and forced five fumbles.

Ken Ekanem – LB

High school: Centreville (in Clifton). Height/Weight: 6-3/232.

College situation: Considering offers from U.Va., Virginia Tech, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Michigan, Michigan State, Boston College, Notre Dame, UNC, Maryland, Rutgers, Illinois, Syracuse, Central Florida, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest and Duke.

Why he made the Fab 15: A pass-rushing specialist who capped his junior season with 17 sacks. His potential for physical growth makes him a candidate at the college level to play defensive end, which is exactly where he's being recruited by many of the programs that have offered scholarships.

Win Homer – OT

High school: Christchurch. Height/Weight: 6-5/245.

College situation: Committed to Boston College.

Why he made the Fab 15: He's a player that reminded a lot of recruiters of Anthony Castonzo, who finished high school as an undersized offensive tackle before heading to BC and becoming a first round draft pick of the Indianapolis Colts. Homer has a GPA over 4.0 and has improved his footwork by playing defense on Christchurch's lacrosse team.

Devin Vandyke – LB

High school: South County (in Lorton). Height/Weight: 6-1/204.

College situation: Committed to Virginia Tech.

Why he made the Fab 15: He has a reputation for a being a ferocious hitter, which helped him pile up 92 tackles last season, including 11 for losses, to go along with six pass breakups. He should make Tech associate athletic director for strength performance Mike Gentry a happy guy, as Vandyke already benches more than 300 pounds.

C.J. Prosise – S

High school: Woodberry Forest. Height/Weight: 6-1/195.
