The ACC announced Wednesday following the conclusion of its fall meetings in Boston that teams will play eight conference games in 2013 and beyond because of the addition of Notre Dame.

In men's and women's basketball, the league will continue to play an 18-game conference schedule based on a two-partner format. Virginia's permanent partners are Virginia Tech and Maryland, and Virginia Tech's permanent partners are Virginia and Miami.

The conference tournament will begin on Wednesday (rather than Thursday) with three games so all teams can continue to participate.

Here is the complete ACC release on scheduling changes.
