Something that not many people know about you: “My first year playing football was my junior year. I was more like a tackling dummy my sophomore year, but junior year was when I actually stepped on the field. I was on the team my sophomore year, but my first real playing experience was my junior year."
Best football moment: “My senior year homecoming I had 200 yards receiving in the game and we beat a team (Potomac) we hadn’t beat in about four years."
Role model: "Probably my coach, [Forestville] coach [Charles] Harley. He’s a father and role model for us on and off the field. As a coach, he gave me good perspective on how to play the game, and off the field I saw how he conducted himself. He was a positive male role model in my life during high school."
Why Maryland? “It fit me because I can play in front of my family. They were my reason for playing in high school. A lot of times I wanted to quit; I didn’t have the motivation. But thinking about them made me become better because of their belief [in me]. And I get homesick really easy and [Maryland] had everything right there, so why leave?"
