Where are the four to five 4-5 star game changer recruits we need each year? We've recruited many "nice" players, some who have had solid careers at Maryland but we seem to lack the Jacksons, Merrimans, etc. of old who could control games. I know its not easy out there in the recruiting world but you'd think we'd come up with at least one stud every year. Why isnt our recruiting of top level talent better? Certainly we should be able to not only compete for but win over exceptional local talent but stay even with other ACC schools. Also the OL and DL seem to be built with bulk rather than agility and quickness. Its proven that you win with dominating line play. If we had lines with the size and quickness of the likes of Clemson, BC, VT, and/or FSU we have the skill players to compete with almost anyone. UNC and Miami also seem to be building their programs again through superior recruiting while we seem to be standing still or slipping. Any theories?
