Sky forward Elena Delle Donne will miss the WNBA All-Star Game as she continues to receive treatment in Delaware for a flare up with her Lyme disease symptoms, the team announced Wednesday.
The second-year star has missed 12 of the last 13 games due to illness, while the Sky (8-13) have dropped 12 of their last 15 games.
Delle Donne (21.2 points, 4.9 rebounds per game) has been selected to the All-Star Game for two straight years, leading the Eastern Conference in voting this season.
Sky coach Pokey Chatman remains hopeful that Delle Donne will be able to return after the break, and would not rule her out for the season.
The Sky return to action against the Indiana Fever on the road at 6 p.m. Thursday.
