Elena Delle Donne, the Sky's star rookie, has been diagnosed with a mid-foot sprain of the left foot that could keep her out of action a couple weeks, according to Sky spokesperson Stephanie Perleberg.
The injury occurred during Tuesday's 80-76 loss to the Sparks in Los Angeles. Delle Donne underwent an MRI Wednesday afternoon in Seattle.
She will be further evaluated when the team returns to Chicago after playing the Storm Thursday night.
Delle Donne left the game against the Sparks with 5 minutes, 37 seconds left in the second period. She had scored nine points, eight in the first period.
Delle Donne had missed two full games and the WNBA All-Star game after suffering a concussion July 24.
Sunday, she scored a career-high 32 points in a win over the Lynx.
