The Towson men's basketball team received one vote in the Associated Press Top 25 poll Monday, marking the first time that has happened in school history, according to a news release.

The Tigers, who cruised to a 72-45 rout against Navy last Friday in their season opener, return their top five scorers from last year's team that finished with an 18-13 record.

The 27-point margin of victory in the opener represents the largest for Towson against a Division I school in a home opener and largest against any level since 1984, according to the school.

Kentucky was ranked No. 1 for the second straight week in the Top 25 poll.
