Loyola men rally to beat Siena, 66-55

Loyola University men's basketball team used a late run Thursday to pull away from Siena, 66-55.

Dylon Cormier (Cardinal Gibbons) led all players with 17 points, while Robert Olson added 16 for the Greyhounds (13-5, 6-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).

For the Saints (8-10, 3-5), OD Anosike and Kyle Downey each had 15 points.

UMBC 64, Binghamton 58: The host Retrievers (3-15, 2-4 America East) led from start to finish to break a four-game losing streak.

UMBC outscored the Bearcats (0-18, 0-6) by 30-24 in the first half before the teams traded basket for basket in the second half.

Ben Dickinson led a trio of double-digit scorers for UMBC with 16points.

Omar Richards and Jimmy Gray each scored 10.

Long Island 77, Mount St. Mary's 62: The host Blackbirds (13-6, 7-0 Northeast Conference) opened with a 15-2 run and never looked back.

Danny Thompson paced the Mount (4-14, 2-5) with 20 points.

Bowie State 70, Johnson C. Smith 60: Jay Gavin scored a game-high 19 points and the Bulldogs (12-3, 4-2 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association) led for most of the game.

The Golden Bulls (7-8, 2-3) cut the lead from 20 to 10 in the final four minutes.


Delaware 65, Towson 46: Tanisha McTiller scored 13 points in the second straight loss for the host Tigers (11-6, 2-4 Colonial Athletic Association).

The Blue Hens (15-1, 6-0) led from start to finish.

Binghamton 61, UMBC 43: Michelle Kurowski had 11 points in a losing effort for the visiting Retrievers (10-9, 4-2 America East).

UMBC led 2-0 before the Bearcats (9-10, 3-3) took the lead for good 21/2 minutes into the first half.

Johns Hopkins 94, Bryn Mawr 28: Jessica Brown had a game-high 19 points and the visiting Blue Jays (14-2, 9-2 Centennial Conference) opened with an 18-2 run.

Hopkins held the Owls (0-14, 0-11) to nine points in the first half.

Washington College 61, McDaniel 44: Latisha Pledger and Erin Kile each had doubledoubles to power the host Shorewomen (11-5, 6-5 Centennial Conference) past the Green Terror (7-10, 4-9).
