Carmelo Anthony makes decision official

LAS VEGAS -- Carmelo Anthony made it official Sunday, posting a first-person essay on his website that he's re-signing with the Knicks.

"This organization has supported me and in return, I want to stay and build here with this city and my team," Anthony wrote in part

Anthony called Knicks President Phil Jackson a "champion who builds championship teams" and thanked the organizations, including the Bulls, who pursued him.

"During this journey I met with some quality organizations who have amazing talent and leadership," Anthony wrote. "I thank them for their consideration, belief in my talent, and opportunity to imagine the possibilities."

The Bulls moved on, agreeing to terms with Pau Gasol.
