Bulls release summer-league schedule

The Bulls will open NBA Summer League play in Las Vegas on July 12 at 7:30 p.m. against the Clippers.

All teams are guaranteed five games in the tournament format, used for the second straight year. The Bulls also will face the Nuggets at 7 p.m. Central on July 13 and the Timberwolves on July 15 at 3:30 p.m. The teams are seeded for the tournament based on results from the first three games.

Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said after the first-round playoff loss to the Wizards that Derrick Rose could participate in some of the practices leading up to summer-league competition. Rose isn't scheduled to play in the summer league.

Adrian Griffin, a finalist for head coaching jobs the last two offseasons, coached last summer's entry. Former Bull Steve Kerr is scheduled to coach the Warriors' entry in this summer league.
