State women: Fading late, Loyola falls to Army in OT

Loyola Maryland shooters went cold over the final 2:53 of overtime as host Army outscored them 11-0 and won, 56-45, Saturday.

The loss marks the second time this season that the Greyhounds (5-16, 2-8 Patriot League) forced overtime but lost to the Black Knights (16-5, 8-2). Loyola lost to Army, 66-62, on Jan. 5.

Lafayette 70, Navy 69: The host Mids (17-4, 9-1 Patriot) led by Jade Geif with 20 points, were outscored by one in the first half before matching the Leopards (11-10, 5-5) point for point in the second half.

Maine 61, UMBC 48: Sara Tarbert had a game-high 22 points for the host Retrievers (2-18, 1-7 America East) in their eighth straight loss, all against league opponents.

The Black Bears (10-11, 4-4) made 14 of 41 3-point attempts and were led by Liz Wood with 15 points.

Delaware State 86, Morgan State 66: Raven Bankston scored 35 points and the visiting Hornets (6-13, 1-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) led 47-30 at the break.

Tracey Carrington had 25 points for the Bears (2-18, 0-7) in their 11th straight loss.

North Carolina A&T 73, UMES 63: Jessica Long had a game-high 22 points and the host Hawks (4-14, 0-6 MEAC) fell to the Aggies (15-4, 5-2).

Robert Morris 67, Mount St.Mary's 60: Sydney Henderson had 25 points, but the rally by Mount (10-11, 5-4 Northeast Conference) fell short to the Colonials (12-8, 8-1).

Bowie State 65, Elizabeth City State 55: Ashley Castle scored 17 points to lead the Bulldogs (8-11, 3-8 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association) past the host Vikings (5-14, 2-8).

Johns Hopkins 44, Haverford 40: Ciara McCullagh scored 11 points and the Blue Jays (13-6, 11-3 Centennial Conference) topped the Fords (16-2, 10-2).

Washington College 69, Dickinson 43: Emily Hubley and Kelly Mitchell each scored 13 points as the host Shorewomen (6-13, 5-8 Centennial) beat the Red Devils (4-14, 1-12).

Muhlenberg 60, McDaniel 59: Erin Lany made the game winner with 0.8 of a second left as the host Mules (12-7, 9-4 Centennial) beat the Green Terror (14-5, 9-4).

Stevenson 58, Alvernia 52: Kayleigh Guzek had 15 points to lead the visiting Mustangs (11-8, 9-3 Commonwealth Conference) past the Crusaders (6-13, 2-10).

Arcadia 56, Hood 55: Victoria Mazzeo made the game-winning layup with five seconds left as the host Knights (10-9, 4-8 Commonwealth) beat the Blazers (5-14, 2-10).

Frostburg State 77, Wesley 68: Elaina Hummel had 17 points and the visiting Bobcats (4-13, 2-9 Capital Athletic Conference) beat the Wolverines (4-15, 1-9) and halted a four-game losing streak.

St. Mary's 60, Penn State-Harrisburg 54: Sophie Pruden had 16 points as the host Seahawks (7-11, 4-7 CAC) beat the Lions (5-14, 1-10).

Salisbury 79, Southern Virginia 37: Anna Hackett scored 13 of her game-high 17 points in the first half to lead the visiting Sea Gulls (11-7) past the Knights (3-14).

Moravian 74, Goucher 65: Sharnell Huff had 27 points, but the host Gophers (5-13, 1-7 Landmark Conference) fell to the Greyhounds (16-3, 7-1).

Baptist Bible 57, Notre Dame Maryland 9: Stephanie Miller had four points and the host Gators (1-19, 1-11 Colonial States Athletic Conference) lost their seventh straight, falling to the Defenders (2-13, 2-9).
