State women: Mount St. Mary's defeats Bryant in overtime

Jacqueline Brewer (27 points) made two free throws to break the fifth and final tie, at 79, with 38 seconds left in overtime, and Mount St. Mary's (9-10, 4-3) won, 84-79, against Bryant (10-8, 5-2) on Saturday.

Bryant's Jenniqua Bailey (30 points) tied the game at 70-all with a jumper with less than two minutes to go. Both teams then traded 3-pointers over the closing minute to force overtime.

Loyola Maryland 61, Colgate 54: The Greyhounds (5-14, 2-6 Patriot League) led the whole second half against the Raiders (5-14, 1-7).

Nai Brown scored a game-high 23 points and Tiffany Padgett had 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Navy 60, Holy Cross 53: The visiting Mids (16-3, 8-0 Patriot League), led by Alix Membreno with 17 points, held off the Crusaders (12-7, 4-4).

Navy, which has Navy beat Holy Cross, 72-53, in last year's final on March 16. The Mids have won nine straight, was outscored by 11 points in the second half.

Coppin State 65, North Carolina Central 58: Visiting Coppin State (8-10, 5-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) won its second straight. North Carolina Central fell to 7-11, 2-3

N.C. A&T 78, Morgan State 48: The visiting Bears (2-16, 0-5 MEAC) were outscored 33-17 in the first half.

Bethune-Cookman 78, UMES 70: Jessica Long scored 17 points, but the visiting Hawks (3-13, 0-5 MEAC) fell to the Wildcats (6-14, 3-4).

Hartford 65, UMBC 55: The Hawks (6-13, 3-3 America East) outscored the host Retrievers (2-16, 1-5) 21-16 in the first half.

Emily Russo (Glenelg) had 12 points for UMBC.

Chowan 58, Bowie State 51: The host Bulldogs (7-10, 2-7 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association) shot 18.8 percent from the field in the second half and fell to the Hawks (9-9, 3-5).

Bowie State juniors Donia Naylor and Ashley Castle each had 13 points. Courtni Williams led the Hawks (9-9, 3-5) with 14 points.

McDaniel 55, Ursinus 50: Steph Perez scored 14 points and the host Green Terror (12-4, 7-3 Centennial Conference) beat the Bears (6-10, 4-7), for their fifth straight win.

Gettysburg 55, Washington College 51: Caroline Murphy scored 14 points to lead the Bullets (10-6, 6-5 Centennial) past the host Shorewomen (5-11, 4-6).

Muhlenberg 58, Johns Hopkins 54: The host Blue Jays (12-4, 10-1 Centennial) led 47-46 lead with 4:22 left but lost to the Mules (10-7, 7-4).

Stevenson 62, Arcadia 42: Kyarra Harmon and Kayla Kelly (Centennial) combined for 25 points as the host Mustangs (9-8, 7-3 Commonwealth Conference) rolled past the Knights (8-9, 2-8).

Messiah 77, Hood 40: The host Blazers (5-12, 2-8 Commonwealth) were outscored 41-19 by the Falcons (11-6, 7-3) in the second half.

Salisbury 66, Penn State-Harrisburg 41: The host Sea Gulls (10-7, 6-3 Capital Athletic Conference) routed the Lions (5-12, 1-8).

Christopher Newport 116, Frostburg State 89: The host Bobcats (3-12, 1-8 CAC) surrendered the most points this season for their third straight loss.

Marymount 61, St. Mary's 49: Katelyn Fischer (Seton Keough) had 18 points to lead the host Saints (11-6, 7-2 CAC) past the Seahawks (6-9, 3-5).

Drew 71, Goucher 60: Amaka Ezeani scored 20 points for the visiting Gophers (5-11, 1-5 Landmark Conference) in a loss to the Rangers (10-7, 3-3).

Cedar Crest 56, Notre Dame (Maryland) 26: The visiting Gators (1-17, 1-9 Colonial States Athletic Conference) fell to the Falcons (5-13, 3-7).
