Beth Glaros (Wilde Lake) scored six goals to lift No. 2 Maryland to a 19-10 victory over No. 6 Duke on Saturday.

Glaros, a senior, nearly doubled her previous goal output for the season and added three draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers to give the visiting Terps (6-0, 1-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) their first conference win. Taylor Cummings (McDonogh) added a season-high five goals and had seven draw controls, three caused turnovers and a pair of ground balls.

Maryland took a 5-0 lead 7 minutes, 15seconds into the game, with Glaros scoring three goals and Cummings two.

Maddy Acton put host Duke (3-2, 0-1) on the board at 21:17 with an unassisted score, but Glaros answered with a transition goal off an interception 20 seconds later for a 6-1 Terps advantage.

James Madison 8, No. 7 Loyola Maryland 7: The visiting Greyhounds (2-2) suffered their second one-goal loss of the week, falling to the Dukes (3-1).

Marlee Paton led Loyola with two goals.

No. 20 Johns Hopkins 17, American 5: Taylor D'Amore scored twice and the host Blue Jays (5-0) beat the Eagles (1-4).

Hopkins scored eight of the first nine goals. The Blue Jays upset Loyola, 6-5, on Wednesday.

UMBC 7, La Salle 6: Shannon Harkey's second goal broke a 6-6 tie with 4:39 left, as the visiting Retrievers (2-2) beat the Explorers (3-1).

Mount St. Mary's 18, Delaware State 3: Erin Seipp (Notre Dame Prep) scored five goals to power the Mount (1-2) past the host Hornets (0-4).

Salisbury 17, Catholic 9: Bethany Baer (Westminster), Shelby Nemecek (Liberty) and Katy Haker (Westminster) each had a hat trick to lead the host Sea Gulls (3-0) to their 26th straight win, beating the Cardinals (1-1).

St. Mary's 13, Virginia Wesleyan 4: Shelby Newman (Manchester Valley) and Abbey Harrison each had two goals and an assist to lead the Seahawks (1-3) past the Blue Marlins (1-2).

Hood 16, Washington & Jefferson 4: Ashley Kitzmiller (Manchester Valley) scored four goals and the host Blazers (2-0) used a 12-0 run to beat the Presidents (0-1).

Lebanon Valley 15, Goucher 11: The visiting Gophers (1-2) gave up four goals in the opening eight minutes and fell to the Dutchmen (2-1).

Stockton 16, Notre Dame Maryland 4: The host Ospreys (1-0) scored six goals over the first seven minutes and beat the Gators (0-1).

Rowan 12, Washington College 8: Caroline Lovett scored three goals, but the Shorewomen (0-1) lost to the host Profs (2-0).

Bridgewater (Va.) 12, Frostburg State 9: The visiting Eagles (2-1) scored six goals in each half to beat the Bobcats (1-2).

SUNY-Brockport 11, Stevenson 9: Kathyrn Merrick (Bel Air) had four goals, but the host Mustangs (0-3) fell to the Golden Eagles (1-1) in the Stevenson Classic.


No. 9 Johns Hopkins 15, No. 6 Princeton 9: The Blue Jays (4-0) used an 8-1 run to pull away from the host Tigers (2-1).
