Northwest MSSA meeting

Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. Captain "Walleye" Pete Dahlberg will speak at the November meeting of the Northwest Chapter of the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishing Association. He will discuss tips and tactics for fishing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel in the late fall and winter. The meeting will be at the Patapsco Council No. 1960 Knights of Columbus Hall at 1010 Frederick Road, Catonsville. Please use the Beaumont Avenue (side) entrance. Hunter sight-ins

Turkey shoot

Turkey Trot

Nov. 22, 9 a.m., Green Valley Turkey Trot; 3- or 5-mile run/walk and 1-mile fun run at Greenspring Avenue and Ridge Road in Owings Mills. Benefits Crohn's and colitis research. All proceeds go to University of Maryland Medical Systems and Johns Hopkins Hospital. Patuxent Research Refuge North Tract hunting permits are on sale Mondays through Saturdays, 8a.m. to 6p.m. Bow qualifications are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 p.m. to dark; Saturdays, 10a.m. to 2 p.m. The Hunting Control Station is on Bald Eagle Drive, off Routes 198 and 32. Information: mnha.net.
