Hunter-safety courses

August, September: The Baltimore County Game & Fish Protective Association will conduct two hunter-safety courses on club grounds at 3400 Northwind Road in Carney. The August session has registration Aug. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon; classes Aug. 14, 15, 21 and 22 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; and testing Aug. 24 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The September session has registration Sept. 7 from 9 a.m. to noon; classes Sept. 11, 12, 18 and 19 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; and testing Sept. 21 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Decoy exhibit

Through Nov. 3: "Crisfield Carvings — Bird Hunting on Broad Waters" will be on display daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Waterfowling Building at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum at Navy Point in St. Michaels.
