May 3-5: The largest sailboat racing tour in the country, the Sperry Top-Sider NOOD Regatta series, will stop at the Annapolis Yacht Club. More than 1,000 sailors will compete in the Chesapeake Bay from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, May 3; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 4; and 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5. May 5: Terrapin Adventures has partnered with Playworks Baltimore to host a 5K run through the woods of Savage to benefit the nonprofit Playworks Baltimore and its effort to bring safe, meaningful play to Baltimore schools. Registration is $30 before March 15 and $40 after that date. To participate, runners must also raise a minimum of $25 for Playworks Baltimore. Md. Half Marathon
May 11: Registration is open for the fifth annual Maryland Half Marathon to benefit the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center. The race will be in the Maple Lawn community of Howard County. The cost of registration will be $75 until Jan. 31, $85 in February and $90 from March 1 to May 11.
