The No. 8 Notre Dame men's lacrosse team trailed No. 3 Denver by two goals with less than two minutes left to play in the Whitman's Sampler Mile High Classic on Saturday night.
The Fighting Irish (4-1) scored twice over the final 1 minute, 42 seconds to force overtime and Jim Marlatt (River Hill) netted the game-winner 1:09 into overtime as Notre Dame won, 13-12.
The host Pioneers (5-2) took a 12-10 lead with 2:25 left in the game when Eric Law registered his fourth goal of the day on a 30-second man-up opportunity. Notre Dame's Sean Rogers (three goals) followed Steve Murphy's score with the game-tying goal with 47 seconds left in regulation.
Denver's Gordie Koerber and Notre Dame's Conor Doyle, both Gilman graduates, scored three and two goals for their respective teams.
Drew Belinsky scored the game-winning goal, 11-8, with 2:44 left in the game.
No. 2 Cornell 12, No. 17 Yale 10: The visiting Big Red (7-0, 1-0 Ivy League) scored four unanswered goals that spanned both halves and held off a late rally to beat the Bulldogs (3-2, 0-1).
Steve Mock led the way for Cornell (7-0, 1-0 Ivy League), scoring five of his career-high six goals in the second half. He also became the seventh player in school history to score 100 career goals. Three of his goals were assisted by Ivy League Player of the Week Rob Pannell (two goals).
Nick O'Reilly scored four goals for Virginia. Jesse King and Carter Brown (Calvert Hall) each scored twice for Ohio State.
No. 7 Hofstra 10, Delaware 5: Adrian Sorichetti scored a season-high four goals and Chris Selva made a career-high 14 saves to lead the Pride (5-1, 1-0 Colonial Athletic Association) past the Blue Hens (2-6, 0-1).
Hofstra held Delaware scoreless in the second and third quarters.
No. 13 Brown 11, Harvard 9: Henry Blynn had five points (two goals, three assists) to lead the host Bears (4-1, 1-0 Ivy League) past the Crimson (2-3, 0-1).
No. 19 Albany 17, Bryant 15: Miles Thompson scored a school-record nine goals to power the visiting Great Danes (4-2) past the Bulldogs (0-6).
Brittany Dashiell (John Carroll) had a hat trick as Florida led 9-3 at halftime. Shannon Propst (Fallston) led Oregon with two goals.
No. 4 Northwestern 16, Harvard 3: Erin Fitzgerald set career highs in goals (six) and points (seven) to power the host Wildcats (7-1) past the Crimson (0-4).

No. 11 Virginia 9, Princeton 7: Casey Bocklet had two goals and an assist, and the host Cavaliers (4-4) held off a late rally by the Tigers (3-2).
No. 14 Massachusetts 21, Sacred Heart 8: Cori Murray scored four goals to lead the visiting Minutewomen (7-2) past the Pioneers (0-5).
