Jimmy Ryan scored in overtime to lift No.8 Colgate to a 14-13 win over Bryant on Sunday in the season opener for both teams.
The host Bulldogs (0-1) tied the game for the sixth and final time with just eight seconds left in regulation with a goal by Brian Schlansker. But the Raiders (1-0) fought off Bryant's initial possession in overtime.
Ryan and fellow midfielder Matt Clarkson accounted for nine of Colgate's 14 goals, with Clarkson scoring five. Both goal totals were career highs.
Senior attackman Peter Baum added two goals and two assists for the Raiders.
No. 6 Duke 21, Jacksonville 9: Jordan Wolf scored four goals for the second straight day to lead the Blue Devils over the visiting Dolphins.
Jacksonville (0-1) scored less than one minute into the contest, but No. 6 Duke (1-1) responded with five consecutive goals.
TJ Kenary scored three goals for the Dolphins.
No. 14 Massachusetts 16, Army 9: Matt Whippen had five goals and an assist in a season-opening win over the visiting Black Knights.
Six players scored for Army (0-1), including John Glesener's second career hat trick. The Minutemen (1-0) used a 12-5 run over the final three quarters to put the game away.
No. 9 Lehigh 14, St. Joseph's 1: The Mountain Hawks opened their season with a win over the Hawks.
David DiMaria led Lehigh (1-0) with a career-high six goals. . Ryan McGee scored for St. Joseph's (0-1).
Salisbury 17, Greensboro 3: Ryan Clarke led the two-time defending champion Sea Gulls with five points in their season-opening win over the visiting Pride.
Greensboro (0-1) jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, but the Sea Gulls scored five unanswered goals the rest of the quarter.
Junior goalkeeper Alex Taylor (Glenelg) picked up the win, playing more than 56 minutes and saving 16 shots.
The Gulls will be in action again Saturday when they travel to Lynchburg; the game is set for 1 p.m.
