Twelve players scored for the Navy men's lacrosse team as it rolled past visiting Virginia Military Institute, 20-7, on Saturday.
Juniors Sam Jones and Erik Hoffstadt each had a hat trick, and five players recorded their first career goals in Navy's highest-scoring game since 2004.
Navy entered halftime with an 11-1 lead and outshot the Keydets 58-26 for the game.
No. 10 Denver 14, No. 6 Duke 12: Eric Adamson scored five goals to help the Pioneers (1-0) upset the host Blue Devils (0-1).
After trailing 8-5 at halftime, Denver went on a 9-0 run to take a 14-8 lead in the fourth quarter. Duke cut the deficit to two, but bounced a shot off the post with 33 seconds left and the Pioneers recovered the ball to end the comeback.
Jordan Wolf had four goals and three assists for the Blue Devils as their 10-game home winning streak was broken.
No. 15 Ohio State 14, Detroit 8: Senior Logan Schuss had seven goals and three assists to lead the Buckeyes (1-0) past the visiting Titans (0-1).
Ohio State, which trailed 3-1 in the opening minutes, outscored Detroit 8-2 in the second half. Mike Birney led the Titans with three goals.
No. 17 Bucknell 9, Delaware 8: Todd Heritage had a hat trick as the visiting Bison (1-0) edged the Blue Hens (1-1).
Eric Smith, who led Delaware with four goals, had a chance to tie the game with 22seconds left but his shot was stopped by Bucknell goalie Kyle Feeney.
No. 18 Penn State 11, Michigan 6: TJSanders and Shane Sturgis scored four goals each as the Nittany Lions (1-0) beat the host Wolverines (0-1).
Gerald Logan had 19 saves for Michigan, which was outshot 57-30.
