American Cancer Society officials will have a table near the entrance to provide information about Coaches vs. Cancer and Relay for Life. They will take donations and sell luminaria bags that have votive candles inside to be lit at Relay for Life in remembrance of someone who died of cancer.

Men's honors

Men: Maryland senior goalie Niko Amato was named Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Amato made 11 saves in a 16-8 win at then-No. 2 Syracuse on Saturday while helping to hold a dynamic Orange offense 10 goals below its season average.

Women's honors

Maryland redshirt juniors Brooke Griffin (South River) and Abbey Clipp (Marriotts Ridge) were named Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.

Griffin led the Terps to two wins, including a convincing 14-7 victory at No. 7 Penn State on Saturday. She had 11 goals and three assists in the two wins to help keep Maryland undefeated.

Clipp had a career-high 21 saves against the Nittany Lions, including 12 in the first half. Clipp's 21 saves were three shy of the Maryland single-game record, set by Denise Wescott in 1977, and the most since Virginia's Andrea Pfeiffer posted 22 against Princeton in the 2004 national championship game.

•Loyola Maryland junior Annie Thomas (John Carroll) and sophomore Molly Wolf (Bryn Mawr) were named the Patriot League Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.

Thomas recorded a game-high five points on three goals and two assists in a win over the Tigers. Wolf, had back-to-back games with double-digit saves to lead the Greyhounds to wins over two straight nationally ranked teams.

•Navy junior midfielder Loren Generi was named Patriot League Midfielder of the Week. She had eight goals and 10 assists in the Midshipmen's wins over Liberty, 19-3, and Davidson, 14-5.

•Salisbury senior goalkeeper Ashton Wheatley was named Capital Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
