No. 10 Maryland (0-0)

Coming up: Vs. Mount St. Mary's, Saturday, noon, Byrd Stadium

Comment: The Terps have won 20 consecutive season openers. To re-assert themselves into the conversation of contenders for the NCAA title, they will likely have to rely on a youthful roster that includes 14 freshmen and 13 sophomores.

No. 15 Johns Hopkins (0-0)

Coming up: Vs. No. 13 Ohio State, Sunday, 11:30 a.m., Homewood Field

Comment: The host Blue Jays are 4-0 against the Buckeyes in a matchup of future Big Ten rivals. All eyes are on senior Rob Guida to anchor a young midfield and take some of the pressure off of an attack led by junior Wells Stanwick (Boys' Latin).

No. 18 Towson (0-0)

Coming up: Vs. High Point, Saturday, 11 a.m., Johnny Unitas Stadium

Comment: The host Tigers won't take the Panthers lightly after High Point squirreled away a 9-7 decision for the program's first-ever win. Senior attackman Max Siskind, who will make his fourth career start, has scored one goal in six career games.

Mount St. Mary's (0-0)

Coming up: At No. 10 Maryland, Saturday, noon

Comment: The Mountaineers have never beaten the host Terps in 10 meetings. The graduation of all six starters on attack and midfield might make scoring goals a difficult task, but the team's youth is potentially exciting for coach Tom Gravante.

Navy (0-0)

Coming up: Vs. VMI, Saturday, noon, Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium

Comment: The host Midshipmen gained their 12th straight season-opening win with a 20-7 thumping of the Keydets last year. Sophomore goalkeeper John Connors will make his first career start.
