Digest (Oct. 21): Towson, Bucknell add benefit basketball game Saturday

Towson will host Bucknell in a special exhibition game to help raise money for hurricane relief on Saturday at 1 p.m. in SECU Arena. The concept of an additional game was an idea formulated by the National Association of Basketball Coaches to support relief efforts after a series of hurricanes affected Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands over the past three months. The Tigers and Bison have received an NCAA waiver for the event. Suggested donation in lieu of admission is $5 with all of the proceeds from the event going to hurricane relief. Towson Athletics will be partnering with the Towson Student Government Association to collect donations for the Salvation Army Disaster Relief Fund.
