Joe Flacco can take this show on the road if he gets a little help from his friends. |

Add / View comments | Discussion FAQCam, Matt is correct, but I would go one further and say that his help needs to come earlier. We had two good drives to open up the game. Jacoby Jones dropped an easy first down pass and the line was bad.
Do YOU watch the games? Actually you do but you just can't admit you're wrong.
"For some inexplicable reason" Flacco is different on the road vs at home. Inexplicable reason? Really? Do you watch the games? Do you not see the inane play calling by Cam Cameron in road games? Did you not hear the announcers state that in pre game interviews John Harbaugh told them he wanted this to be like an AFC North type game (i.e. ground and pound) vs running up and down the field all day with the Chargers? So it's not inexplicable at all; it's classic Cam Cameron. No rhythm on the offense until his back is up against the wall, THEN he calls in plays with a certain sense of urgency, which then translates into keeping the opposing D more back on its heels, rather than creating 3rd and longs all day long which allows opposing D's to just tee off on the weak Ravens O-line. So why do you insist on lying with disinformation like "for some inexplicable reason", when the reason is plain as day? Huh?

Cam you are right on the money this time. It's not inexplicable at all. Go rewatch the game guys. If the game plan was for Flacco to go uptempo and throw 2 out of every 3 downs in the first quarter he would get into a rhythm earlier in road games. It reminds me of a boxing match on the road. They just keep throwing little jabs feeling out the opponent instead of attacking early. Once they open up the offense out of necessity, the offense gets a rhythm going and also tires out the defensive line so that their pass rush becomes less effective. Flacco getting put on his back 5 times on the road vs. one per game at home might make a difference too. Not inexplicable at all. Do we not give any credit for crowd noise? That would explain some of it too.
