5. Erik Bedard for Adam Jones, Chris Tillman, George Sherril and two others

( Baltimore Sun ) To kick-start his rebuilding process, Andy MacPhail traded top starting pitcher Erik Bedard to Seattle in a five-player deal that has worked out quite well for the Orioles. The injury-riddled Bedard has made just 37 starts since the 2008 trade. Meanwhile, Sherrill (2008) and Jones (2009) each had All-Star seasons and Tillman has shown promise at times. Bonus: Sherrill was traded for another prized prospect, Josh Bell. |

How could you possibly leave out the Curt Blefary for Mike Cuellar trade. Clearly one of the best five in O's history, and certainly better than the Bedard trade!

If the Milt Pappas for Frank Robinson trade isn't #1 i am going to take the very next SW flight out of Portland, land in Bmore, take a Royal Cab up to the Sunpaper's building, open up a can of whoop-azz, go right back out, get into the Royal cab and catch the first flight back to Portland. Now go ahead---i dare ya.
