Five for Friday: Troubled NFL prospects who panned out

There's no questioning the talent of cornerback Jimmy Smith, the Ravens' first-round pick in the 2011 draft. But it's fair to wonder if the character concerns that caused Smith to drop in the draft will eventually cause his NFL career to go up in smoke -- perhaps literally. We all know about troubled players such as Lawrence Phillips and Charles Rogers whose personal issues helped sabotage their careers. But there have been players who entered the NFL with red flags and turned out to be stars. Here are five examples from recent memory.
