I'm starting to become desensitized when it comes to slam dunk videos that don't feature Blake Griffin and the edited-down compilations of quarterback trick shots. But crazy hockey goals? I'll never get tired of those (well, unless someone scores one of them against me in men's league).
The latest viral sensation in the hockey community is a lacrosse-style goal scored by New Jersey high-schooler Mike Criscitello. As you'll see in the video below, Criscitello picks the puck up on the blade of his stick at the top of the circles, spins and, mid-360, flings the puck past the goalie. You see this kind of shot every once in a while in a minor-league shootout -- if someone tried it in the NHL, they might get their wrist broken -- but what made Criscitello's goal so impressive was that he did in traffic during regulation play.
