Report: Browns star WR Josh Gordon allegedly failed drug test, facing season-long suspension

The Cleveland Browns' offense potentially just took a major hit.

Star wide receiver Josh Gordon could be facing a season-long suspension after testing positive for marijuana, according to ESPN.

"That's something you're going to have to talk to [agent] Drew Rosenhaus about," Gordon told ESPN. "I really don't know anything about it."

Rosenhaus denied the report, saying it's "not true."

According to the report, though, Gordon has already been informed by an NFL doctor that he is facing a season-long suspension for failing a drug test for marijuana.

Gordon has a history of drug issues, including being suspended for two games without pay last season and fined another two game checks for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Gordon said last year that he used cough syrup that contained codeine. Codeine is a banned substance under the NFL drug-testing policy.

Gordon was also kicked off the Baylor football team for testing positive for marijuana and then never played for Utah after transferring when he failed yet another drug test.

Gordon caught 87 passes last season for 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns last season, emerging as one of the top receivers in the game.
