Five for Friday: Orioles records that could fall in 2013
Chris Davis has been a home-run machine. Manny Machado is swatting doubles at a historic rate. Even Jim Johnson, despite his struggles, may scribble out his own name in the Orioles record book. A third of the way through the season, several players and the team as a whole are chasing single-season milestones. It is amazing how much better this club is defensively than it was at this time a year ago. Since adding Manny Machado and Nate McLouth (above) to the roster last summer, the Orioles have had one of the best defenses in baseball. Through 54 games this season, they have committed just 19 errors and have a .990 fielding percentage. The 2007 Orioles set club records with 79 errors and a .987 fielding percentage.
