We know, we know, baseball is a long season. But every year there are a number of developments from the first few weeks that make your raise an eyebrow.

It was pretty clear that something wasn't right physically with Michael Morse after he came to the Orioles in late August in a trade for Xavier Avery. Brought in to add some pop for the playoff push, Morse batted .103 with zero extra base hits and zero RBIs.
But after offseason wrist surgery, Morse is off to a hot start with the San Francisco Giants. He's hitting .306 entering Friday, with two homers and 10 RBIs.
And at just $6 million, he's looking like quite the bargain.
