Five for Friday: Ravens who made cases for roster spots
With most of the marquee players in street clothes and most of the position battles already settled, no one would blame you if you didn't tune in to watch the Ravens play the St. Louis Rams on Thursday night. (The Ravens lost, by the way.) But in the preseason finale, several Ravens players made a case to be included on the 53-man roster, though there might not be room for all of them. In today's Five for Friday, Baltimore Sun blogger and reporter Matt Vensel lists five Ravens who caught his eye Thursday.

Bobby Rainey, running back
Rainey rushed for 39 yards on 13 carries, but he ran hard, made some positive gains out of nothing and scored a pair of rushing touchdowns. He also caught a pass for 8 yards and did well in the return game. With a Pro Bowl back in Ray Rice and a Pro Bowl returner in Jacoby Jones, Baltimore might not be the ideal location for Rainey. But if the Ravens end up cutting him, we may see him wind up elsewhere.
