Bridgette Andrzejewski, McDonogh soccer player

In her first two years of varsity soccer, Andrzejewski has already built an impressive resume at McDonogh. Highly touted coming into her freshman year, opposing teams paid special attention to her from the start and she responded with a 15-goal, 8-assist season. This fall, she added more layers to her game and finished with 29 goals and 10 assists to help lead the Eagles to the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference crown. The two-time All-Metro first-team selection earned All-America status by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Set to turn 17 at the end of January, she is a member of the Under-17 national team and her potential seems to be limitless. The 2014 season will bring more responsibility for Andrzejewski, who will assume a bigger leadership role after a number of standout teammates graduate. If her first two seasons are an indication, she will be primed for the challenge. -- Glenn Graham, High School Sports Reporter
