GS: 3 | GP: 16 | Snaps: 563 Season in review: The Ravens brought back the veteran special teams standout to help improve that unit, and the Ravens scored four return touchdowns, including the playoffs. Ayanbadejo delivered some key blocks and made 13 special-teams tackles, but he also committed three penalties in that phase. Because of injuries at inside linebacker, Ayanbadejo had to start three games there and was a serviceable stopgap. Signature moment: When Jacoby Jones returned a kickoff for a score to open the second half of the Super Bowl, Ayanbadejo and fellow linebacker Albert McClellan helped spring Jones with a double-team block. Stat that stands out: 170 -- Ayanbadejo's defensive snaps during the regular season, more than expected. Pro Football Focus grade: -4.0 on special teams | +1.2 as a defender | -2.0 against the run | +2.6 in coverage. Outlook for 2013 and beyond: Ayanbadejo turns 37 in September and will be the team's oldest player should he be back with the team. If he is, he will continue to contribute on special teams and occasionally as a defender in passing situations, but I'm sure the Ravens would prefer to limit his snaps on defense.
