Before the season, Baseball Prospectus called Wieters one of the biggest busts in baseball history, as if the young catcher had labeled himself "Mauer with Power" or "Switch-hitting Jesus" before he arrived in the majors. But Wieters has busted out in a big way and was invited to his first All-Star Game after becoming one of the best backstops in baseball. He has also been clutch at the plate, something in short supply here.
