In 1970, the team moved to a new lakefront stadium, Soldier Field, their current home. Halas was the head coach on and off for 48 years. He became sole owner in 1932 and held the position until 1983. His daughter, Virginia Halas McCaskey, took over the ownership that year, and remains owner to this day. The Bears have won a total of eight NFL Championships and one Super Bowl (XX). In 1940, they clobbered the Washington Redskins 73-0 in the title game. The Super Bowl team is considered one of the best in history, after losing just one game in 1985 and winning the title, 46-10 over the New England Patriots. The Bears are a member of the North Division in the National Football Conference (NFC). Famous players include Halas, Bronko Nagurski, Red Grange, Sid Luckman, Bill George, Mike Ditka, Walter Payton, Dick Butkus and Gale Sayers. The Bears have 26 members in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, most in the league. The club's headquarters are in Lake Forest, Ill., a northern suburb of Chicago.
