Marvels top Washington Madness, 119-114, in exhibition

The American Basketball Association's Maryland Marvels defeated the Washington Madness, 119-114, on Sunday at Severn in an exhibition game to support local breast cancer survivors. Rogers Barnes, who played at River Hill and Morgan State, was the leading scorer with 27 points. Kenny Simmons had 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Darryl Moore added 18 points and six rebounds. Jamal White contributed 10 points and four rebounds. The Marvels' final roster will be announced soon. The season opener is at 5 p.m. Nov. 29 against the New Jersey Express at Severn.
