The Ravens thrashed the San Diego Chargers, 24-3, ensuring the team's first postseason berth in franchise history. It was the first time a Baltimore team had been represented in the NFL playoffs since Dec. 24, 1977 when the Colts played host to the Oakland Raiders.
The defense surrendered just 64 net passing yards and nine completions by Chargers quarterback Ryan Leaf (pictured being hit by the Ravens' Rob Burnett).
The victory was the team's fifth of an eventual 11-game winning streak that ended when the Ravens captured the Super Bowl in February.
