( Sun file photo ) Bob Wade's back-to-back undefeated teams in 1981-82 and 1982-83 ran up a 60-0 record and featured four players -- David Wingate, Muggsy Bogues, Reggie Lewis and Reggie Williams -- who went on to play star in the NBA. |

The 82 - 83 Dunbar basketball team was most likely the best ever in Baltimore. Terrific talent and I played against all of those guys at one time growing up. But that is not a moment. IF you wanted to mention high school basketball you have two moments in the history of this town. THe 1973 (??) DeMatha v. Dunbar game, when Skip Wise led Dunbar over unbeaten DeMatha, or the 1981 Dunbar v. Calvert Hall game at the Towson Center. Both were classic games that stand the test of time.
