Chance of snow Friday night postpones games in several counties

MIAA A Conference ice hockey final also postponed, B Conference game still on

With the possibility of a little snow arriving as early as 8 p.m. Friday, several counties have postponed games and canceled practices for the day.

Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll and Howard county officials have announced that all after-school activities for Friday have been canceled, including athletics.

One of the IAAM A Conference semifinal basketball games has also been postponed. No. 4 Seton Keough will play at No. 2 McDonogh Saturday at noon. The game between No. St. Frances and St. Vincent Pallotti is still on for Friday but has been moved up to 5 p.m.

Both B Conference basketball semifinals have been moved to Saturday at noon: Notre Dame Prep at Severn and Mount de Sales at St. John's Catholic Prep.

The IAAM basketball finals will be played as scheduled Sunday at Stevenson.

The MIAA A Conference ice hockey championship between Archbishop Spalding and Calvert Hall has been postponed. No make up date has been announced. The B Conference final between Gilman and Loyola will go on as scheduled at 4 p.m. at the Gardens Ice House.

The MIAA wrestling tournament is going on as scheduled at Mount St. Joseph at 3:30 p.m.

The MIAA B Conference basketball semifinal between St. Paul's and St. John's College Prep has been postponed.
