8. Dec. 4, 1974: The Orioles get outfielder Ken Singleton and pitcher Mike Torrez from the Montreal Expos for pitcher Dave McNally and outfielder Rich Coggins.

For most of a decade, Singleton (pictured) is among the steadiest of Orioles (182 home runs and a .284 batting average), a three-time All-Star and a mainstay on two pennant winners.
