72. Skip Wise, basketball

Perhaps Baltimore's best player ever, this guard led Dunbar (34 straight wins) to its greatest victory in 1973, scoring 39 points in a defeat of DeMatha (43 straight wins). At Clemson, Wise became the first freshman to make the All-Atlantic Coast Conference first team (18.5 points per game) and then signed with the American Basketball Association's Baltimore Claws, who soon folded. Wise was later imprisoned for drug-related crimes.
