58. Jack Turnbull, lacrosse

This Hall of Fame attackman captained the Johns Hopkins team that competed in the 1932 <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="EVSPR00000713475" title="2016 Olympic Games" href="/topic/sports/2016-olympic-games-EVSPR00000713475.topic">Olympics</a>, defeating Canada. A three-time first-team All-American, Turnbull, who attended Poly, led Hopkins to 26 victories in 29 games, as the Blue Jays outscored opponents 256-72. An All-Maryland halfback in football, he also made the U.S. field hockey team that competed in the 1936 Olympics. Turnbull was killed in action during <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="EVHST00000110" title="World War II (1939-1945)" href="/topic/unrest-conflicts-war/wars-interventions/world-war-ii-%281939-1945%29-EVHST00000110.topic">World War II</a>.
