58. Jack Turnbull, lacrosse

( U.S. Lacrosse ) This Hall of Fame attackman captained the Johns Hopkins team that competed in the 1932 Olympics, defeating Canada. A three-time first-team All-American, Turnbull, who attended Poly, led Hopkins to 26 victories in 29 games, as the Blue Jays outscored opponents 256-72. An All-Maryland halfback in football, he also made the U.S. field hockey team that competed in the 1936 Olympics. Turnbull was killed in action during World War II. |
