133. Jessica Long, swimming

The 20-year-old Paralympian from Middle River, who had both legs amputated as a child, has won more than 75 gold medals and set dozens of world records since she began competing at age 12. She took three golds at the 2004 Paralympics in Athens, and four in Beijing (2008). A year earlier, she won the Amateur Athletic Union's Sullivan Award as America's top amateur athlete, edging Michael Phelps.
